William Hsu is a sustainable urban development professional with an interdisciplinary background in environmental science, urban planning, and public policy with a passion for solving complex socio-environmental problems. He currently works for the non-profit New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC), which provides financial support to energy efficiency and clean energy retrofits in buildings. Prior to moving to New York, William was an urban planner with the City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning and worked exclusively on affordable housing policies. William holds a MPA in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University SIPA, a MA in Environmental Social Science from Arizona State University, and a BA in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
